We are pleased to announce that Irene Seiferling has been elected the new Chair of the Board, effective July 1, 2025. Irene has served two terms on the Foundation Board since 2013 – appointed first by the Minister of Justice and then by the Law Society of Saskatchewan. The President of Board Dynamics, Irene is the first non-lawyer in the Foundation’s 50-year history to serve as Chair. Irene looks forward to continuing the Foundation’s important work of stakeholder collaboration, governance excellence, and, most importantly, advancing access to justice in Saskatchewan.
The Board would like to acknowledge the significant contributions made by the outgoing Chair, Lee Anne Schienbein, and extend its sincere gratitude for her dedicated service. Lee Anne, who serves as Legal Counsel for SaskTel, was a forward-thinking and principled leader who guided the Foundation with clarity and commitment. We are pleased that she will continue to serve as a valued member of the Board for the remainder of her term.
