Board Position - Law Foundation

Jan 17, 2025

The Law Foundation of Saskatchewan is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing access to justice for Saskatchewan citizens. Funded through interest earned on lawyers’ mixed trust accounts, the Law Foundation operates under section 76 of The Legal Profession Act, 1990. The Law Foundation awards grants to support legal education, legal research, legal aid, law libraries, and law reform initiatives. Since its beginning in 1973, the Law Foundation has distributed over $100 million for its legislated purposes.

The Law Society of Saskatchewan, in conjunction with the Law Foundation, appoints five members of the Law Foundation board. A joint Selection Committee conducts the appointment process.

There is currently one opening on the board due to a judicial appointment. This term is to be filled immediately and runs until December 31, 2026.

We invite applications for this position from both Law Society members and members of the public.
